Bosch Community Fund supports organizations and programs for tomorrow’s workforce
For more than a decade, the Bosch Community Fund has been dedicated to advancing STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education in North America. Through impactful grant-making, the Fund has enhanced workforce development programs that increase economic prosperity for local communities and align with talent demands at Bosch.
Below are just a few examples of grant recipients that are educating and training young learners on the current and future skills needed to advance competencies and improve the economic environment.
- FIRST® is inspiring young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science and engineering skills that inspire innovation. Students develop skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and communication, preparing them for success in school and in the workforce, no matter what path they take.
- Manufacturers Resource Center is working collaboratively with area schools, industry, and stakeholders on innovative programs that market STEM career and training opportunities to students, parents, and educators that highlight and enhance existing STEM training curricula at local elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, technical schools, and community colleges.
- Trident Technical College Foundation leverages VEX Robotics to teach robotics programming, coding, and vision and sensor technology to students enrolled in the college’s mechatronics program. Technology kits are utilized in coursework as well as in summer STEM camps to positively impact K-12 students. This initiative offers hands-on experience directly applicable to local STEM employment opportunities.
