Brandon Lefebvre
As a Logistics Manager for Thermotechnology in Londonderry, New Hampshire, Brandon is responsible for strategic planning, movement and distribution of Bosch heating and cooling products.
How did you get where you are in your career right now? What inspired you to work in your field?
A combination of military logistics experience with the Marine Corps and my degree in logistics helped me achieve a professional milestone of becoming a Logistics Manager for a global company.
Logistics is always evolving and there is always room for improvement. I learned that in the Marine Corps and loved the challenge, so transitioning to a logistics career path in the civilian sector happened naturally for me.
How have you been able to shape your role and make it your own?
Logistics is always evolving and there is always room for improvement. I learned that in the Marine Corps and loved the challenge, so transitioning to a logistics career path in the civilian sector happened naturally for me.
I was able to work with upper level management to restructure the Operations organization and change roles to create a new logistics team structure. Those changes were crucial for me to focus on solving larger challenges and giving my associates a pathway toward intra-departmental professional development while simultaneous improving performance and learning from past mistakes.
What do you appreciate most when you think of your colleagues/team members?
Logistics is always evolving and there is always room for improvement. I learned that in the Marine Corps and loved the challenge, so transitioning to a logistics career path in the civilian sector happened naturally for me.
My team places tremendous pride in their work and are never timid about helping someone out. They go above-and-beyond daily and raise concerns in an effective manner. They are reliable and top-notch performers, which is a hard thing to come by.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting a career in your functional area?
Learn as much as you can and don’t be afraid of trying to make things better. Opportunities are endless and everyone can make a positive impact beyond their basic daily responsibilities. Strive to be a problem solver instead of just a problem identifier.
