Why did you decide to join Bosch?
Bosch operates in many fields and has an excellent reputation for its good engineering and high product quality. I find the company culture is very supportive and encourages associates to expand and grow with the company. For example, Bosch has a program connecting junior associates with experienced mentors to gain valuable advice on career paths, which helped me navigate and advance my career.
Tell us a little bit about how you got to where you are today in your career?
I am able to make a difference in my field because the company has invested in my career growth. Throughout my 15 years with Bosch, I was offered an international assignment and I was able to take on cross-functional roles in Product Support Engineering, Product Management and Field Sales. I also had cross-divisional training which enabled me to support a wider range of customers. My happiest moment was working when the company supported my decision to relocate from Illinois to California to join our regional office operation and switch careers from technical to sales.

Born and raised in Amman, Jordan, Abdulilah moved to the United States after high school to pursue his Electrical and Computer Engineering degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His career with Bosch began in 2005 during his studies, when he completed an internship with Bosch Rexroth in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, learning about factory and industrial automation. Since, he has held a number of cross-functional roles in engineering, product management and sales, and now serves as a Senior Sales Engineer for Rexroth in Pleasanton, California. Outside of work, Abdulilah enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, hiking and biking local trails.
